finally has 'legs'!!.....I attempted to initiate a similar group for
Wcoast Sboaters a few months ago,,but participation lagged and
stalled,,,so I'd like to emphasize that EVERYONE'S PARTICIPATION IS
ESSENTIAL to keep a ball like this moving!!--nothing more than
interacting with ideas on this site,,and connecting others to the
group.
FORUM TYPE--I'm not yet fully familiar with the google style of
forum,,but I'd like to suggest that at this early stage,that members
please also check-out the 'MSN-groups' format,and decide wether it's
more 'user friendly.,as a change wouldn't be too dificult at this
point,but harder later.
I've used the MSN format for 2 years,as 49er Wcoast,,and NA
secretary,,and found that the advertising is much less aggressive than
at least the yahoo format,,,and that the personal profile
section,multiple manadgers,,messaging section,,calendar,,and document
section all interact quite well,except that there's no form of editing
that one can do to a message except to delete it,,and I,at least had
difficulty posting links,,so if that can be done with this forum,it
would be of benefit.
........as I say,I'm not yet fully familiar with this 'google' style
myself.....so use the link below to compare formats,,,and lets make
comments in this thread as to where the preference lies.

,,,,,a change to the google style would be as simple as altering the
title of the other forum,adding some other manadgers ,and revising some
of the messages,,,so look around as I will at this format,,and make
