Please introduce yourself on this thread. Let us know who you were on
Sporeum and then feel free to start a new discussion topic about
whatever!
I'm Yorpy. I started my Sporeum experience a couple years ago. While I
loved the community of people involved, Spore the game just didn't cut
it for me. I'm excited that we now have an opportunity to grow the
same community into a great one in another place. Lets keep in touch
as we'll be fostering new interests and broadening the scope of our
gaming experiences!

I'm Scotland Tom!
I think just about everyone coming here from Sporeum will know who I
am. I joined Sporeum in early February of 2007 and became a moderator
in June of 2008. I have nothing but love for the community as a whole
and hope to at least find some way of keeping everyone connected.
Whether a new site is created or we migrate all those interested to
another existing site of some kind is fine with me. At the very
least, let's find a way to keep the dedicated members of the Sporeum
community connected.

Hello, I'm Vigilante. I was a member of Sporeum since 2006. Some of
you may have met me there as I occasionally played the forum games or
joined in the discussions in the Sci+Spec forum :)

I joined on the first day of Feburary in 2007 when I happened to be
moping around Simtropolis. In my time on Sporeum, I met some great
people, streched my creative muscles, and had alot of fun. Honestly, I
could say it may have been one of my best experiences on the Internet.

Great Idea with the escape pod Yorpy! I took the liberty in creating a
news page, that I plan to update regularly. We might want to think
about creating a page for all the members that are aboard the pod. A
simple list of the current user name here and the Sporeum user name
should do the trick. We don't want any imposters on board =)

I think I have pretty much the same story as Vigilante, but I'm not
quite sure on the details of when I joined Sporeum, or where I

In 2006 I accidentally Sporeum and made it more surreal for everybody.
I don't think I'm being too ego-centric to say that I single-handedly
changed the tone of the entire site. For this I apologise.
Then they went and made me a moderator for reasons best left unsaid,
for all our sakes.
And then I was metaphorically hospitalised with Real Life Syndrome and
faded from the immaterial sphere.

I have personally destroyed the bots that were using this site for
promotional purposes. Also, I have set up an escape pod defense grid:
Anyone attempting to join the site will need to request my
permission... and tell me what their Sporeum user name was. If their
clearance ID isn't valid then they will be blasted to smithereens (not
allowed in). This system isn't perfect, but it will help us stave off
unwanted invaders. I will post this in the news section as well.
