Hello Guinea Pig Sponsors!
I. Present totals/My fosters
II. Losses
VII. See you next month!
I. Happy October! You may have noticed a missing newsletter-sorry about that! I will try to be more on schedule. I am just swamped these days! Part of me being swamped is my two new guinea pig fosters, who came from a hoarder/puppy mill in Arkansas. They’re wonderful, plucky little pigs. One is a texel and one is a Peruvian-they’re both beautiful. But loud! I hope their new adopter will be okay with guinea pigs who are ready to be taken care of like kings, and demand such treatment.
Now some exciting news-our totals so far! We’ve raised $4930.92-we’re just about $70 away from reaching $5k raised for piggies! Can you help make it happen? Remember, Sponsor a Guinea Pig is Where a Dollar Makes a Difference.
II. Losses: Opie, a pig we recently fundraised for, has passed on. He was very happy in his last months, living it up with girls (enabled by the neuter we made possible) and just being a happy old man in general. Any kind words sent to the good people of Orange County Cavy Haven will be much appreciated.
III. August’s thank you-is missing! I’m sorry about that. I’ve been trying to get in touch with NJGuinea Pig and Hamster Rescue but have been unable to-hope everything is okay. She did reassure me before we lost touch that she had sent individual thank you emails to everyone. But let me add a big thank you from me!
IV. September’s thank you- Hello Fellow Cavy Lovers,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported Tagg with their donations. Tagg is continuing to do well. He has had a second surgery that went well. We are now seeing if the growths can be controlled by a chemical freezing process. Cross your fingers and say piggy prayers. We aren't sure if this procedure will work or not yet. Tagg has been bonded to my own two personal pigs, Peanut and Blanco. I was unsure how that was going to go but it is getting better every day. He is really coming out of his single pig shell and becoming a more involved part of the threesome everyday. I actually found him sleeping in the hide with Blanco my male yesterday. So this little sanctuary pig will be a much beloved part of my little herd the rest of his life. Again, thank you all for helping to make his a much longer life.
