Welcome to the Dallas Splunk Users Group!
Unlike most things nowadays (and despite the virtuality of this Google Group) we are primarily a real-world institution that sponsors in-person meetings of real-life people coinciding in a physical building at a non-ephemeral address on a regular basis.
We meet once a month with an old-school "you bring it", ad-hoc (non-)agenda intending to help one another to get more out of Splunk. If you have an interesting problem, or an interesting solution, then we would VERY MUCH like you to come and share it with us.
If you are interested in meeting some fellow Splunkers and having some great technical discussions about Splunking better, leveraging Splunk for more use cases, and helping each other get your Splunk on, please go to http://www.meetup.com/Splunk-Meetups/ and sign up to be notified.
When you come to the meeting, be sure to bring your computer, ideas, and attitude, so you are prepared for an interesting and enjoyable event.
We typically have some pizzas and drinks too (i.e. cokes and dark beer) and plenty of Splunk Shirts & Swag, so even if you are hungry, just come for the free food if you want. We frequently have interesting Splunk employees and personalities drop by (Maverick comes whenever he is in town) so it is a good way to network, too.
