LIGHT SHINE: A 6-WEEK CONTEMPLATIVE PRAYER GROUP
First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd, Columbus, OH 43212
South Campus Annex, Spiritual Guidance Room
Tuesdays, July 7th – August 14th 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Cost: $50 per person (scholarships available)
This contemplative prayer group will explore a different prayer practice each week, including practices such as Centering Prayer, Praying with Poetry, Walking Meditation, Praying with Icons, Dances of Universal Peace, and/or Healing Prayer. Each session includes an introduction to and experience of the prayer form, silence, individual rest & reflection, and optional small group sharing. The group will be facilitated by Nan Weir, an architect, facilitator, and retreat leader who dedicates much of her time and energy to creating sacred space and building community.
