Running hem server in getting started

I'm trying to follow the instructions in getting started but whenever i call hem server i get the following response
Starting server on: 9294
however when i go to http://localhost:9294 i get an empty document
If i call hem build it builds ok, (although I get some js errors in the generated page about jqueryify not found, but i suspect that's a different issue)
This is on windows 7 and xp

Ah sorry, haven't done any work on windows - it's not supported (and probably won't be soon).
I'd advise either use Spine statically, or boot up a virtual machine. Sorry about that!
