Hello,
We use Sphinx for writing a user manual (
http://manual.mahara.org) and have translations set up in Launchpad. Since it's a user manual, it also has a lot of screenshots. One of our developers created a script (should all sit in
https://gitorious.org/mahara/manual; works on Ubuntu 12.04 server and there is also a packaging repo) that takes localized screenshots and replaces the original ones so that the manual can pretty much be fully translated, e.g.
http://manual.mahara.org/de/1.5However, a few things don't seem to get translated, e.g. image captions and index entries. Is there a way to include them in the pot files? Also, is there a way to tell Sphinx that strings that appear in a sidebar or in the config file are actually strings and thus should also be translated? This would be helpful to localise the first part of the breadcrumbs, the license in the footer and also links that currently only appear in English.
Any tip on how to achieve that would be very much appreciated.
Cheers
Kristina
