Indeed, I'm thinking about that point.
Ok, I'll append translationguide.rst content to intl.rst soon.

You mean the procedure is too complex or too long, right?
(my English communication skill is not good..)
If we assumed the knowledge of gettext, we can explain shorter.
Or we need to provide support tool to replace the procedure.

I don't want to force that change upon you, I was merely thinking out lout. :-)

Exactly.  I'd be interested if users (and you seem to use this feature, right?) feel it is unnecessarily complicated and could be made easier from the Sphinx side of things.

Please don't!  I think the more comprehensive, contextful guides we can give to people the easier it is for them to adopt the feature.

That's what I was thinking about.  Do you have any good ideas here that would fit into Sphinx?

Yes, I know.
At first, I felt that intl.rst is technically and translationguide is
tutorial style.
Therefore I thought these contents are not fit in the same page.
But intl.rst is very short and a picture in the top of intl.rst page
is useful to
translators.

Yes, two tools occur to me.
There are sphinx-gettext-helper [1] and sphinx-transifex [2].

The sphinx-gettext-helper supports generation of po files,
merge and compile. However, this tool is dependent on external
gettext commands.

The sphinx-transifex is a Transifex utility tool that provides several
features that make it easy to use the Transifex service for translation
with Sphinx. BTW, this tool is focused on transifex and is dependent
on transifex_client external library and polib external library.

For the purpose of reducing the procedure, I will be able to restructure
these tools. However, IMO the new restructured tool should be release
in different cycle from the Sphinx.

Hi Robert and developers,

I released sphinx-intl utility (it include all features of bot tools
before I introduced).
https://pypi.python.org/pypi/sphinx-intl

And I rewrite translation document and merge with intl.rst.
https://bitbucket.org/birkenfeld/sphinx/src/87d37d4/doc/intl.rst

Comments and suggestions are welcome.
