Sphere
India:
Sphere India is a National
Coalition of Humanitarian Agencies in India. The members include key nodal
agencies from Govt. of India, UN Agencies, INGOs, NGO Networks and National
NGOs. Sphere India facilitates (1) Inter Agency Coordination, (2) Training
& Capacity Building, (3) Information & Knowledge Management and (4)
Collaborative Advocacy through a collaborative process for Quality &
Accountability.

Thematic discussions:
There will be five parallel thematic
discussions in which the participants will be divided in five groups based
on their interest and experience. The theme for the discussions are:

Improving coordination framework during
and post disasters
·
Collaboration between CSR Community and
CSOs
·
Collaborative priority actions for
inclusion of Dalits and Tribals
·
Collaborative priority actions for
inclusion of Disabled , elderly and People living with HIV/AIDS
·
Collaborative priority actions for
inclusion of Women and Children
The thematic discussions will conclude with
presentations by each group followed with open discussions.
The discussion on collaborative priority
action for inclusion of various marginalized groups would centre on their
right to life with dignity, the right to receive humanitarian assistance
and the right to protection and security.

been clubbed together only to optimally utilize the time and
rich experience of the gathering.
Objectives
of the programme:
1.
To bring together key stakeholders to
discuss the ways and means for improving coordination framework during and
post disasters.
2.
To identify and advocate for key issues
of inclusion during disasters.
3.
To discuss how Company efforts can be
best channeled for Disaster Response and Disaster Risk Reduction
Activities.
