Please find attached the draft agenda of the training for your reference and use. Please also note that the last date for registration to the training program has been extended till 27th October, 2009. The registration form is attached for your use.

Greetings from Sphere India!
Sub: Invitation to a two day training programme on “HUMANITARIAN ACCOUNTABILITY”
It gives us great pleasure in inviting your organization to the first ever training programme on “Humanitarian Accountability” to be held in New Delhi on the 16th and 17th November 2009, (Venue : Residency Resorts, USI Premises, Rao Tula Ram Marg, New Delhi).
The training programme is being conducted together with Geneva based HAP International, and organized in India jointly by SEEDS and Sphere India.
The programme will help the participants in understanding:
1. The theory and principles of humanitarian accountability
2. Key considerations for applying humanitarian accountability principles in practice
3. About the latest tools and systems available to achieve accountability
The training will be conducted by a resource person from HAP International, and will use a range of case study material and real time experiences to help in the development of an action plan for the promotion and improvement of accountability in humanitarian organisations. Maximum number of participants for the training course is 25.
We would like to invite the heads of the institution or senior managers to participate in the training programme.
To partly defray the costs, a training fee of Rs. 7000/- per participant is being charged. Participants will have to bear their own costs of travel to the training venue and local stay.
Applications would be accepted on first come basis. The last date for receiving applications is 13th of October, 2009.
