I've discovered something strange in the trunk version: above part of
the menu bar there's a dark grey line -- and where this line is I
cannot select menu items (the Session and Edit menu).

You can see a screenshot here: http://marcowegner.de/files/images/sc-screen.png

Is this just me or are others having this as well? Just wanted to make
sure before adding a bug report. This definitely is not there in 0.7
or in other QT4 apps (like the Last.fm client) so I'd rather say this
is a bug in SC trunk...

Regards,
Marco

It doesn't happen with me on Debian Etch. What is your system?

Well, I have Gentoo using Qt 4.2.3. As mentioned before, it's only the current trunk version. 0.7 works fine here. And so do other Qt4 apps.

SUSE 10.2, Qt 4.2.1 and I don't see the problem.

Arrgh, that's bad... I'd really like to know what that is and where it comes from.

Marco

JFYI I see this problem on Windows version, compiled using Qt 4.2.3
but *not* with Qt 4.3.0. Could it be a bug within Qt ?

Probably, but I don't get that weird behaviour with 4.2.1.

May well be... I'm using that same Qt version 4.2.3 here. So perhaps that really is some bug in that version. At least I'm a little relieved that it's not only me :)

Meanwhile I have also built Qt 4.3.0. Even without rebuilding SC afterwards these weird issues have gone now. So I think it is relatively safe to assume that this is a bug in Qt and perhaps only in 4.2.3...

Kind regards,
Marco

Just like we predicted. Nice to have it confirmed.

Johan is also providing a new Windows installer for 0.8-alpha, because
the currently available build is linked to Qt 4.2.3, precisely, and so
we have the same issue there.

Thanks, Marco! :)
