I'll show screenshots (sorry, live demos are too risky on GotoWebinar) and walk through the process:
1) Capturing requirements, business stories and scenarios
2) Exporting scenarios to Robot Framework Test Cases (key-word driven scripts)
3) Describe resource files that link the case key-words to the system under test (a web site in this case using Webdriver/Selenium)
4) Execution and upload of results to Business Story Manager
5) Reporting automated test results againse scenarios, features and requirements in BSM.
I'll talk about a Robot Framework and Webdriver/Selenium example, but RF has many test libraries and the same procedure could be used to drive websites through HTTP directly or windows apps, SSH etc. etc. Robot Framework and all of its libraries are OPEN SOURCE.
We are introducing a FREE TO USE Business Story Manager service to provide the requirements to exploit this integration (limited to 100 stories).
On the morning of the next Test Management Forum, on 24 April, I'll be running a workshop to explore these techniques of requirements, stories and test automation and how you can implement them. Charge will be £95. Just use our contact form to book or enquire
