Hiding the previous image so it doesn't display behind the current one

I was wondering if anyone could help with a modification. If you load
images that are different sizes sometimes you can see the previous
image behind the current image (for example: if one is portrait and
one is landscape).
Is there a way to modify it so the previous image doesn't show behind
the current one?

I would appreciate any help!

You should ask this in the SmoothGallery forums (the JavaScript the
runs the SlideShow) -

Actually, I think I figured it out.
I changed the default transition to fadebg in the jd.gallery.js file.
That seems to work.
