The next version of the OSGeo Live DVD will be released soon, and will
include, of course, spatialite, spatialite-gui and spatialite-gis. In
past versions, some sample spatial databases were included from:
http://www.gaia-gis.it/spatialite-2.4.0/samples.tar.gz

Since space on the DVD is getting very tight, I'd like to suggest to
consolidate the above three databases into one. The three sqlite files
together fill over 40 MB, but one merged (after vacuuming) is only
about 5 MB. Even that small saving of 35 MB is important on the
LiveDVD.

My questions:
1- Can the above databases be freely redistributed?
2- Are there any licencing issues with moving tables from the above
DBs into a new DB?
3- The above sample DB's contain area and point features. Any
suggestions for a readily available, and *re-distributable* line
feature? (Major roads, or rivers?)

Thanks,
Micha
