I really like this album myself. It might not be them at their most
creative, but it was an easily accessible one with the most radio
friendly music they had produced up until then. "A Big Surprise" and
"Over The Summer" are the best tracks on it.
I'd buy the CD as I am a big Sparks fan, but I think it would be nice

I first got into Sparks when I saw them on TOTP in 1974 - I was still
only very young and I think I was still at primary school. They were
performing TTABEFBOU. I can clearly remember seeing this quite
handsome curly haired guy singing in the most extraordinary voice
whilst a Hitler lookalike played the keyboards. I couldn't keep my

I have told this story so many times.... Hopefully not to the same
people I'm telling it to now.
When I was ten years old, I was being indoctrinated into the world of
progressive rock by my older brother. I was excited about bands like
ELP & Jethro Tull. One Saturday morning, we were watching Don
Kirschner's Rock Concert (the San Diego station played reruns, I

I saw Sparks on TV - Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. Must have been 1974.
Then I saw them live at a small 500 seat theater near Allentown, Pa.
(they actually played two nights which was unheard of back then!) It
was the Propaganda tour. The show opened with the stage completely
dark ... A spotlight hits Russell, who's way off to the right side of
