Thanks Larry - was going to post and ask what the next big project /
update was. Downloaded and I'm trying them out. THANKS!

I've already started to get a little addicted to the Cleaners. I just
love seeing that "There are no conflicts!" message. It's like running
your tongue over your teeth after a cleaning at the dentist. Lmmmm...

Thanks for releasing these tools. I've given the address book cleaner
a run, and while I like the information provided, I found the workflow
for addressing the problems to be difficult to use. The biggest
problem was that where two contacts were involved, I could not see
both contacts side-by-side to evaluate the changes. This scares me. I
don't want to delete something without looking at it! I also would
like to add some kind of checkboxes so that I could check off all the
contacts I want a specific change applied to. The current one (only
this contact) or all (all contacts with similar problems) doesn't meet
my needs, as there are always exceptions which I want excluded and yet
I don't want to go through and apply changes one by one. It would be
better to check all, and then go through and remove the ones which
don't apply (the exceptions). Finally, I would like the ability to
create an address book group for all the items which have the same
problem, or for which changes have been applied. That way I can make
changes later or review the changed contacts.

It is a good start, but needs work. Thanks again for releasing these
tools!

I agree, when i click open address book for conflict between two
contacts i would find myself re-finding the contacts in address book
so i could see both and then deleting the dubious one.

Big thank you for providing the tools. I have used various scripts and
my own scripts in the past to fix issues, but they get out of date. I
definitely like the "review all changes" aspects of the tools

Well done

Bill

Hi Luhmann,

Several people have expressed the need for a better preview. You can
get an idea of what will change with the preview at the bottom of the
window, but obviously that does not include every possible property.
We'll definitely improve this aspect in the next beta.

> I also would like to add some kind of checkboxes so that I could check off all the contacts I want a specific change applied to

Hmm. I'm not sold on the checkboxes, but maybe some sort of multi-
selection. I'll have to think about this one.

> I would like the ability to create an address book group

Innovative idea! I'll add it to the to-think list :-)

Thanks!

Can I ask for a feature?

If it's possible, there's to be a switch to enable and disable
hyphenation suggestion

I'd also like to ask for a feature -

Like many, my Address Book data comes from many sources. Sometimes,
the formatting isn't correct (such as the entire name being in
"caps"). Although this is somewhat a cosmetic issue, when doing form
letters, it becomes more of an important cosmetic issue. Is there any
way that you can give an option to convert all letters except for the
first letter in a name to lower case? Strange request, I know, but a
data cleaning issue, nonetheless...
