Hello,

I am under Leopard and Spanning sync don't work anymore.
I followed instructions found on the blog (reset history under
isync...)
When I start isync now, I have the following message :
"SyncServices: Can't connect to the sync server:
NSPortTimeoutException: connection timeout: did not receive reply
((null))"

Isync won't start anymore.
I have reinstalled iSync but I haven't succed.

Anyone knows how to repair isync ?

You can reset Sync Services by following these steps:

* Open iSync (in /Applications)
* Go to preferences
* Click Reset Sync History

In that case you probably need to do a hard reset of Sync Services:

* If you haven't done so lately, make a backup of your iCal calendars
(~/Library/Application Support/iCal)
* Quit out of all programs that sync (Address Book, iCal, Safari, etc)
* Make sure that nothing is syncing (Spanning Sync, .Mac, iSync)
* Move this folder to the trash: ~/Library/Application Support/
SyncServices
* Restart
* Open iCal and give it a few minutes to write out the new database

Please let me know if this doesn't solve the problem.

Thanks,
Charlie

Hello Gérard,

have you been able to solve this issue? I'm having the same problem.
iSync doesn't start on my account but for other users it works just
fine. I tried to delete the SyncServices folder and hard reset iSync,
but it doesn't help.

Thanks for any help

Hey all,

I found this trick on another site and it worked for me.

I simply opened the applications folder and dragged the iSync app to
my desktop. Launch from the desktop and it worked fine. Quit iSync
and drag back to Applications folder. Now it works again.

Don't ask me why...I have no idea. I don't really care, because I
don't have to launch it from terminal anymore. Hope this helps some
of you.

Hi all,

By doing a lot of tests trying to have my iSync start again, I've
dropped it forever !!
Can anyone give me the binary in order I can install it back ?? I'm
using MacOSX
Leopard on a MacBook Air.

Thanks in advance,
