Is there a limit of two calendars that will sync in the trial edition?
I'm trying to see if this will work for me, but I can only get two
calendars to sync. I really only want one calendar full stop, maybe
two in the future if I split up work and home, but at present in iCal
I have

My name
Entourage
Home
PocketMac
Work

In the spanning sync preferences, I can't make ticks stay in more than
two at a time.
Thanks.

Dominic-

No, there's no limit. Just make sure you have a corresponding Google
calendar for each iCal calendar you want to sync, and pair them
accordingly. Please let me know if you have any questions or run into
any problems.

Thanks,
Charlie

Thanks Charlie,
seems to be working now.
So well, as far as I can tell, that I've finished my trial and bought
a subscription.

Next job: sort out the address book synchronization nightmare.
Blackberry to Apple - any suggestions? I have heaps of mucked up
entries from various attempts at making his work with several
"solutions" and have not tried anything new for a little while!

Dominic-

Great--I'm glad to hear calendar sync is working well for you now.

Before you dive into contact sync, I highly recommend cleaning up one
of your address books and then syncing it with your other applications/
devices. Since editing Apple's Address Book is quick and easy, you
might want to start there:

Start by merging duplicate contacts (Address Book > Card > Look for
Duplicates...). Then go through and manually delete any unwanted
contacts and eyeball each one, looking for unwanted or incorrect data.
Once Address Book has a complete, clean set of contacts, back it up
(Address Book > File > Export > Address Book Archive...). That way if
anything gets messed up later, you can easily restore your backed-up
data.

At this point you can start synchronizing. Obviously, I recommend
Spanning Sync for Mac-to-Google syncing. To include your Blackberry in
your sync regimen, you have a few options, but we've heard good things
about The Missing Sync for BlackBerry (http://www.markspace.com/
products/blackberry/blackberry-sync-mac-software.html).

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks,
Charlie

Thanks for your response. To be honest, I haven't yet tried it.
Haven't had time, and at the moment I'm rather disillusioned by the
whole thing.
I was abroad for a couple of weeks, so turned of the auto sync to save
data charges. Got back, put it back to auto sync, and now all my
blackberry calendar entries have changed colour and multiplied. I
now, in many cases, have triplicate entries for single appointments.

I'm fearful of letting the whole thing loose on my contacts, that's
for sure...
