Charlie's announcement of Spanning Sync 3.0 beta was not in response
to your issue. I've given you instructions on how to resolve your
issue in your original thread post.
Thanks,
Byron

Charlie, kudos on the latest release, I cannot believe how quickly the
sync runs now.
One little comment - I end up with 2 addresses for each contact (where
an address exists in the first place) in address book and 2 contacts
in gmail for every one in address book. Have any other users
experienced this?

I have some duplicated addresses in my contacts so we should have
enough data here to find the problem. (And as it turns out, Contact
Cleaner doesn't fix this problem, but I've added it to our to-do
list.)
Thanks,
Charlie

No, syncing contact groups didn't make the cut for this release but
it's still on the list. We're interested to know how many people would
find this helpful, so everyone please let us know if you would.
Thanks,
Charlie

Add me to the list of votes for group syncing. This would be near the
top of the priority list for me, because of the impact of Group
membership on Google Voice. In Voice, a contact's membership in a
group determines how a call is handled - you set a per-group default
on which phones a call is routed to, what greeting they receive in
voicemail, etc. Right now, I need to keep the structure in both my
Address Book and in Google Voice manually - group syncing would let me
do it only once.
BTW: Google is reportedly starting to open up Google Voice for
invitations - I highly recommend it if you have a mobile lifestyle.

I agree with Dave. Also, for the same reason, it would be extremely
handy to be able to sync both a Google Apps Account and Google
Account. I realize there is a work-around for calendars to make it
appear as if this is what you are doing, but the same work-around does
not exist for contacts. I have to maintain two sets of contacts.
I am in the same situation as Ben. 1 set of contacts for Google Apps
and another for Gmail/Google Voice. Like the others, Google voice is
my driver making multiple account syncing and groups my top
priorities.

I too would like to see Groups sync implemented. This would make
things infinitely better, especially atop all the other improvements
in API v.3. I am a Google Voice user as well.
