Just got Spanning sync, already have a major problem

I only got this program because I need to only be able to sync my iCal
to Google calendar so that my employees can see jobs/tasks. I
downloaded a spanning sync trial (with plans to purchase it for
multiple computers if it worked) and immediately I have an issue.
I set it up with no problems, told it to never change iCal, only to
update the google calendar (synching every 10 minutes I believe)
selected the calendar that I wanted to show up in google (I have
SEVERAL calendars but only need one to be viewable) and synced. It
does not show up in google calendar. Nothing I do makes it show up. I
even uninstalled and restarted the whole process.
This could be a dealbreaker on if I buy the program or not.
I do not really need to see google events in my iCal, I just need my
iCal to show up in google calendar and sync so I don't have to
manually add changes.
HELP.
