TDR for monitoring of concrete setting?

Dear sensor enthusiasts,

 

To monitor the setting of concrete, I was wondering if TDR could be helpful.

 

My current understanding is, that the concrete mixture upon casting contains a lot of free water, which gets bounded as the water is consumed in the hydration process.

 

If anybody has experiency in this, or could help me in the understanding, I would be grateful to hear that !

 

Most important is a qualitative indication to see an evolution over time.

 

Some particular issues I am now thinking of are:

 

- salinity of the original mixture;

- heat generation/temperature increase (temperature monitoring is in any case included);
