Witam

Występ osoby znanej i lubianej naprawdę dowartościowałby i dzieci , i rodziców - przede wszystkim zaś rodziców, którzy potrzebują bodźca, by dobrze zając się swoimi chorymi dziećmi.

pozdrwiam

The aims of the task are: therapeutic education through art, influencing development of children from groups of lesser chances by various forms of cultural activities, beneficial influence of an artistic creation, integration of children with special educational needs and healthy children in joint work on the spectacle, possibility to show to the healthy people the art of children from groups of lesser chances. This will help the children to break barriers still existing in our society, to break the false image of a disabled person by showing aptitudes, abilities and other positive features which characterize disabled people.

The project assumes creating a theatrical play. Its authors and performers will be children, who come from various groups and backgrounds (from Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic), mainly disabled children, their siblings and peers without developmental problems.

Compounding the elements of artetherapy, mainly of dramatherapy with education through tourism, sport activities, touring trips, studying of customs and cultures of our partners counries, integration of varied groups ( in regard to country of origin, physicall and mental sufficiency). Involvement of young people in voluntary services, protection of  week people, cooperating in very varied groups.

As a part of our project we will create two theatrical festivals, which we want to continue also after finishing of the project: The Theatrical Festival „NASZ ŚWIAT” (“Our world”)  held in Białystok and The International Theatrical Festival „Urobme si radost” in Bratysława. Our website will be also a great educational and promotional material. From other materials collected during the project we will put out the booklet about our affairs, and also the CD and the film.

In the shool year we plan regular meetings (once a week) on integrating activities, a trip to a professional theatre, meetings with actors and other children's theatrical groups. The workshops will last half a year and will prepare the children for ten – day summer workshops, which are planned to take place in the 2nd half of August. They will take a form of a therapeutic integration camp.

Summer art workshops will include classes of fine arts, music and theatre. The works will be run on three levels. During theatre workshops, children with some stage of disability will prepare a scenario and actors' tasks. Scenography will be created on fine arts workshops. Music will be composed and arranged by the children as well. The children will be the main actors and authors of the scenario, scenography and music.

We hope to present the final result – the theatrical spectacle – to the widest audience possible, also on Polish and foreign competitions and festivals of the disabled people.

The cyclical theatre workshops, which are to be held in our partner's countries, preparation to the summer workshops as well as creating the spectacle will be advertised in all mass – media: press, radio, TV, on Internet portals, and on billboards in public places.

We will publish a folder, in English and in other languages, especially the ones spoken by our partners. It will document our works in order to promote the activity abroad. We want also to shoot a film and make a website about our project.

Presenting their own artistic achievements as well as taking part in artistic activities in general develops self–esteem and satisfaction in children. Thanks to it, children “win” everything: understanding each other, bond with the healthy peers, change of the image in the social perception, getting out of isolation, and vivid, full life. The parents, observing the progress in the development of their disabled children, start to hope for their valuable, dignified life. The parents of other disabled children get convinced that their children as well can achieve something, can offer much to society and that disability does not have to mean resignation. On the contrary, it can give impulse to new, more intense and innovative forms of self – realisation.

The possibility to present the creation of children from groups of lesser chances on a par with the creation of healthy children can significantly help to break the barriers in thinking and perceiving disability.

Cooperation (on volunteer services basis) with the Association For Supporting the Activity of the Mentally Disabled THE ACTIVE ONES, the creator of  the Sunny Theatre, which consists of disabled children at the age of 7-13.

The performer of the task – K3 Theatre – has experience in preparing spectacles for children, including disabled children (fo the blind one's, for children with developmental problems, for mentally and physically disabled children).
Our project will not end after creation of theatrical play. This international group meets also on varied theatrics festivals of disabled people, which are held all over the world. Meetings holding after the theatrical workshops, removing the theatrical activities of groups to their place of origin, organising cyclical meetings with all partners (i.e. every quarter). In August 2007 another international camp and creating a new play. Gaining experience by instructors, creating new plays in partners countries, improvement of artistic workshop. Continuous cooperation, exchanging experiments, continuation and strengthen interpersonal contacts.

The Association for Children and Youths with Special Needs ONE WORLD has organised therapeutic integration camps for 3 years. It also organises meetings with children and their parents. These meetings have a form of one-day journeys and integration meetings.

The Association ONE WORLD has been conducting theatrical workshops and artetherapy activities with disabled children ( Down's syndrome, Apert's syndrome, celebral palsy, difficulties in learning) from January 2006. Our Association have entered into cooperation with Association AKTYWNI and Association JASNY CEL, which fructify with organising Christmas-party and horse-drawn sleigh. Association ONE WORLD is slowly but systematically developing its activity by varied help giving to disabled children and their families. Grażyna Jabłońska participates in many trainings, which are organised by The Center of Non-governmental Organisations Cooperation and by NGO`s Support Center. She also broadens her knowledge connected with management and working in non-governmental organisation

In cooperation with  The PdiMST – JEDEN ŚWIAT Association we want to create a theatrical group as a part of the cultural project. Our participants – healthy people, will be helping other participants – the disabled people. As a part of our project, we want to practise Polish language too. One of our goals is also to present our partners from Poland with Slovak language. We are going to participate together in summer theatrical workshops, in order to create a theatrical play. We will be showing it on theatrical festivals, for both, healthy and disabled people. Our yong people don't have a contact with disabled people, so such trip would be a great lesson of integration for them. Furthermore, the cooperation with partners from Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic would break the cultural borders between these nations.

Theatrical, plastic and musical cooperation will be beneficial for every party of this project. The project will be continued also after its ending. From now summer theatrical workshops will be in our activity forever. We will be improving our skills and making them better and better. Our participants come from indigent families, so that we are still searching for varied ways of refinancing. International Visegrad Fund gives us possibility to realize our goals – to find the proper way of integrating our counties and healthy people with disabled one's. Such activity is a great impulse to develop each of groups taking part in the project. It can also help us in  liquidating boundaries existing between participants. We will create a permanent product too – the theatrical play. Performances on the stage are profitable for groups participating in the project.

The Association of Parents and Friends of Children with Down Syndrome is non-government, non-profit organization, with main aim: to improve the position of people with DS in society. She was established in 1996. The work of organization is targeted on families with children with DS – from newborns to adults. The Association offers programs of early care, educational programs, free time activities etc.

Summer camps with educational programs and therapeutic activities for children with DS and their families have in Czech Republic a good tradition. Last summer was created a small musical-like performance, which was introduced also on International festival of artistic creation of people with handicap (Bratislava – Slovak Radio, January 28, 2006). Participation on summer camp, which organizes One World Organization, Bialystok, Poland, will be a first attempt to create an international performance, in tune with main aim of this project. Main of participants from our partner organization will be children (10-16 years of age) with Down syndrome and their siblings without specific needs. Attend of group of 6-8 above-mentioned children and 4-5 accompanied persons is supposed. One of accompanied adult persons will be a teacher of music or of dramatic art, other accompanied adult person will be processed course of this event for specific journal of Down syndrome and will be confirmed to translate written materials into languages of all participants, English included. Other adult persons will be assistants and instructors.

Association of Down syndrome in Slovak Republic and yournal Slnečnica organized the festival „Can we have a joy for us!“ in January 2006 in Bratislava and thereby created and defined the condition for international cooperation in the field of production of children with mental handicap. On festival took a part children and youngsters from SR, CR, Poland and Lithuania with their scenic performances, pictures and literature. As a continuing of this festival, we would like to introduce and establish common project: summer workshop, which can be result into theatre art and musical performance. Because a participation of siblings and families on summer workshop is welcomed, this activity also supports inclusion of children with Down syndrome and other mental disorders into the community life.

An outcome of such common workshop can be a second international festival of art of children with handicap in the year 2007.
