REMINDER: C-mas Dinner at Starbird Teen Center 12/22

SEASONS GREETINGS!     Roselyn, the director, in conjunction with the Giving Tree, has arranged for 200 gifts for the neighborhood kids,as well as a visiting" Santa".( ho, ho, ho) We'll have ORNAMENT AND CARD making, some Christmas Caroling, some games and " Guess how many C-mas M&M's in the jar" drawing for a 20$ Safeway gift card.   We expect to serve 60-80 families, starting at 3:30 for crafts, hot chocolate, games and eating by 5:00. The menu is ham, rost beef, potatoes, vegies and deserts. We welcome you to stop by for an hour or two to support or efforts there at the center.Donations of pies or cakes would be greatly appreciated:-) Most of the families are living well-below the poverty line and need our support!    The City of SJ has reduced the center hours  to 3:30-6:00. They used to be 2:30-7:00. Sometimes the kids show up at 3:00, since ther is no adult supervision at home. The college kids working there are not happy with the reduction in hours either.:-(   Michelle Obama has encouraged us to be the CHANGE we need, so let's roll up our sleaves and pitch in for the betterment of our nation.
