The Big Society and Market Towns

It is still early days in the life of the new Government, but the
ideas within 'the Big Society' certainly warrant close inspection for
Market Town Partnerships and Regeneration Groups.

'Wanting every adult to be an active member of an active neighbourhood
group' sounds good, so too devolving power down to Local Authorities
and community groups (look forward to the detail on that), and the
'truly Local Plan, built out of a process of collaborative democracy,
the centrepiece of the local planning system' could be an opportunity.
