I'm forwarding...but a bit under protest as I am absolutely adamant that we can't use the "geek" and "nerd" language if we truly want to engage ALL students (and the rest of the public) in STEM. The students who identify as geeks or want to be geeks are often times already sold on STEM. Don't we want all those other kids (and adults/teachers/counselors/par ents)...the artists, the musicians, the athletes, the "great at math and science but I also identify with being cool and not geeky" kids (and others) to want to be excited about STEM? Anyway, yeah to the White House for hosting...but boo for the name of the Hangout.

The Women in STEM High School Aerospace Scholars is looking for counselors for its summer sessions. Applicants should be educators who have experience and are interested in the STEM fields. Counselors will work either the week of June 23-28 or July 7-12, 2013. This is the perfect opportunity for educators looking to inspire young minds and spend a week at NASA's Johnson Space Center.
