Heya,

Seems I'm having a similar issue as described here:
http://groups.google.co.nz/group/soundcloudapi/browse_thread/thread/b00fbb23277d454d/acef8077fdf30b04?lnk=gst&q=waveform#acef8077fdf30b04

Uploading tracks from via web app seem to leave them in a 'creating
waveform' state for hours, they have yet to finish.

When I make the request I get back a 201 response which seems right
according to the simple use case example, all the rest of the track
data looks fine.

Can I assume this is just some delay, and that everything in my file
upload request is fine if I receive a 201, or is there any other way
to see if I may have done something wrong.

Also I notice the duration value in the xml response is 0, is this a
good value to check against when testing if a track has completed
processing?

Many Thanks, and keep up the excellent work.

Jeff

Tracks upload via the web application and api clients are processed
the same way. Processing time is dependent on track length and format
as well as the number of tracks currently being processed or waiting
to be processed.

The duration attribute is currently the best way to detect if a track
has been processed, but I now realize that we could improve this by
communicating the processing state of the track in the representation.
Please note that only tracks that were successfully processed are
available to other users than the track owner.

Cheers,
Hannes
