Changing the colour of the waveform skin

Maybe I'm not thinking of something obvious here, but is there a way
to have the waveform colour not #e5e5e5 and have it whatever we want?
On the top of my head i'm guessing the only way to do this would be
through using GD php. Is there a better way?

Basically the reason for this would be to have the waveform blend in
with the player skin.
