Ecomusicology Listening Room at AMS Pittsburgh

Dear Colleagues,

The ELR2 selection committee invites your contributions to the Ecomusicology Listening Room website and session in Pittsburgh. You can read the official call and submit a proposal at ecosong.org. 

Having had a wonderfully broad discussion in New Orleans, the ELR will start to focus on more specific genres and themes each year, starting with popular music and video in 2013. However, given our goal of integrative and inclusive discussion across disciplines, the criteria listed on ecosong.org are guidelines rather than strict parameters. We are open to creative ideas.

With less than 6 months left before the AMS meetings in Pittsburgh, we are seeking completed works or works-in-progress rather than concepts for completely new productions. Collaborations between scholars and artists are highly encouraged!

The selection committee is comprised of Mark Pedelty, Michael Baumgartner, and Justin Burton. If you'd like to test out an idea, please do not hesitate to contact Michael, Justin (justin...@gmail.com), or Mark (ped...@umn.edu).

The deadline for proposals is midnight, Saturday, June 15.
