You can transfer the charge to the other insurance company under post credits.
----- Original Message -----
From: Joanne Aguilu
To: sosoft@googlegroups.com
Sent: Monday, November 09, 2009 9:24 AM
Subject: [SOS User Group] insurance

Is there an easier way to assign a new insurance carrier to previous dates of service? I have a patient that has two insurance companies, and we have been billing under only one. She just informed me that the "other" insurance company has to be billed first, then denied, then we must bill the current insurance carrier (the one that we now have in the system, and have been billing) along with the denial..this sounds like a lot of data entry to me!!

You must go into each service that requires billing and add a zero
dollar charge split for the newly added policy. There is no automated
way to do this. Sorry.

- Seth (SOS)

I can ask Ruth to send you a 2009.01 CD from which
Dr. Jensen can install the software onto a computer not on your network. 2.
If she wants to view it with current patients already installed, one of our
support techs can enable the 45 day demo of Case Manager directly on your

If you have the whole SOS system installed, you can run the demo
whenever you like by clicking the Case Manager icon on the login
window. If you don't see the icon, give yourself permission for CMWin
in the Admin module (Permissions tab for the desired User(s). If it
says that the demo has timed out, just call support and we will reset

I do
four groups a week and would love a shortcut.

2. When importing a week's worth of patients from the scheduler to the OM
