You can transfer the charge to the other insurance company under post credits.

Is there an easier way to assign a new insurance carrier to previous dates of service? I have a patient that has two insurance companies, and we have been billing under only one. She just informed me that the "other" insurance company has to be billed first, then denied, then we must bill the current insurance carrier (the one that we now have in the system, and have been billing) along with the denial..this sounds like a lot of data entry to me!!

You must go into each service that requires billing and add a zero
dollar charge split for the newly added policy. There is no automated
way to do this. Sorry.

If you have the whole SOS system installed, you can run the demo
whenever you like by clicking the Case Manager icon on the login
window. If you don't see the icon, give yourself permission for CMWin
in the Admin module (Permissions tab for the desired User(s). If it
says that the demo has timed out, just call support and we will reset

I used it a long time ago........haven't really had a need for it lately
because most of the plans we deal with are not tiered.

SOS Reports - Listing Tables Used

I know that SOS has a dictionary which lists all tables and their
respective columns in various groups (Patient, Provider, Charge,
etc.). Is it possible to have a list, which shows the tables that are
used in each SOS-designed report?

I use it when deductibles apply - figure out about how many visits. Also use when copay changes based on number of visits used.

Also use when deductible is a percentage and first visit is more than follow ups.

Hi Jennifer,

You can go to Lookups > Insurance carriers/plans > highlight the insurance
carrier and click on Edit > Additional Tab > NEIC Payor ID.

I just found out that a payor number is incorrect on one of our policies in the drop down list under carriers and don't know how to change it to the correct payor number so that we can submit electronically to the ins. carrier. Please help

1. Breaking down deductibles by sessions

2. Those situations in which the co-pay changes once someone hits their
2nd, 10th on some other random session the insurer chooses/
