Subject: group notes
I am new and having trouble....I run groups, have assigned patients to
groups.  Two questions (and I need details please as manual didn't
help).
1. Is there a way to view by group, who the members are and
2.  How exactly do I get a generic note to post to all group members
and then go back to individual notes to add specifics per patient?
Thanks!  cneville

There is a report that lists patients by treatment group. Go to
Reports > Other Reports, then run the "Patients by Treatment Group"
report.

As for entering the group notes, did you see the short explanation of
page 66 of the manual?

"Efficient Entry of Group Notes -
On the Progress Note form you will notice an entry field for Group. If
the note
you are entering is to document a group session, select the
appropriate group
from the drop list. The list will show only those groups in which the
patient is
currently enrolled -- or more accurately, those in which she was
enrolled on the
date of the service you are documenting. When you save the progress
note, CM
will ask if you would like to copy the note to other members of this
group and
display a list of the other patients who were members of the group on
that
service date. If a group member already has a note entered for the
same service,
provider, and date, that patient will not appear on the list. Tag
those members
to which you would like to copy the note and click OK. The copies will
not be
signed, so be sure to review each member’s progress note, personalize
as necessary,
and when complete, sign each note to finalize it."

If you need some help with some part of this procedure, tell us where
you are getting stuck.
