Subject: Software Craftsmanship Summit
There has been a lot of talk about Software Craftsmanship in the last
few years.  One of the things we are looking for is some kind of
consensus on what it means to be a practicing software craftsman.  How
do we define those who are practicing the software development as a
craft?

Historically, craftsmen have associated with one another in the
guild.  Guilds held communities of craftsmen together with their
dedication to quality and honor.  The guild was the storehouse for
knowledge and keeper of professional standards and measures.

We would like to create a confederate of software craftsmen into a
guild of software craft.

8th Light will be hosting a summit on Software Craftsmanship to create
this guild.  The meeting will be to answer some of these questions and
create an organization for furthering software craftsmanship.

Please join us  for this summit on Saturday December 13, 2008 at 10 am.

Please RSVP so we can plan the event accordingly.  You can reach me at:

The meeting will be held at:

Paul,

Are there any costs associated with attending, other than my own costs to
travel there? The summit starts at 10 AM, but when does it end?

Thanks,
Craig
