Note: I've got this okayed by Brian Osman, the mailing list group leader.  Full disclosure, I work for Assurity Consulting who has invited Michael Bolton over. But I am posting this because I am personally excited about having Michael Bolton over and want to ensure that as many as people as possible have the opportunity to attend what I consider to be one of the best courses in software testing.

Hi everyone

Just letting you all know that Michael Bolton, international software testing leader, is coming to Wellington, New Zealand in April.

While he is here, he is teaching two classes: The Rapid Software Testing 3 day master-class www.developsense.com/courses/RapidSoftwareTesting.pdf), and a 1 day "Critical Thinking Skills for Software Testers" workshop.

The Rapid Software Testing class is co-developed by James Bach and Michael Bolton, and is only taught by them, and one other person.  It is an incredible opportunity to learn from an international thought-leader in the software testing community.

I've done both courses, and I highly recommend them.  The RST course literally changed the way I thought about software testing and how I approached testing problems, and the critical thinking workshop allowed me to 'read between the lines' of what people in software projects are saying, and how to deconstruct common fallacies.

More info is available here: http://assurity.co.nz/community/news-and-events/michael-bolton-set-for-two-workshops-for-testers/ and any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.   I know many people on this mailing who have attended the RST course and I'm sure they'd be willing to share their experiences with it.

Not only that. but he has also kindly accepted our invitation to participate at WeTest: http://www.meetup.com/WeTest-Workshops/events/102851382/

April is certainly going to be an exciting month!  Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Regards

Would love to go - but I have already done both these courses, so hard for me to justify.

I will second Aarons recommendation though. I did these courses with James Bach, but I trust that Michael Bolton will deliver these excellently as well.

Cheers

Andrew

PS - I was trying to work in the fact that James developed the "Critical Thinking Skills For Software Testers Course" as a result of a request from the Tait test team, and that we were the first in the world to do this course, without sounding too cheesy - but I completely failed...

Hi all,
I can also vouch for RST (though it was with James Bach).  I have heard that Michael presents an equally valuable course while taking a very different approach to delivery.

In case you're after help with convincing the boss...

Or perhaps a review may help...

Enjoy!
