Why do so many naturist groups on Yahoo! and Google go off the boil eventually?

Hi all,

 

I've been wondering about this for quite a while now, and I'll probably come up with heaps of different answers to this question: Why do so many nudist and naturist groups on Google and Yahoo! eventually go off the boil from the time that they start?

 

They usually start off well with a number of people joining them and posting to them in the first few months, then gradually the action dies down until it comes to only one or two people posting eventually.  Why do you think this is? 

 

We often complain that naturism and nudism is misunderstood, nobody cares about it blah blah blah, but when it comes to voicing their opinions online most of them don't seem to be bothered.  Of course this is not the case with groups like Home Naturist 5, Naturist-Christians-org and InternetNudists which have plenty of posts happening.

 

But these are not the only valid naturist groups going around on the Internet, surely?  I'm interested in hearing your thoughts and comments on this.  :-)

Dario, I think for some people they aren't naturally open online, they
are more, I guess personal types, they are not the type to be
comfortable conversing online.

And too I think there are the ones that join online nudist/naturist
groups and run afoul of people like JonZee and "Anna" and others like
them that scramble the reality of nudism and they quit the groups
altogether.

Just my opinion.

It has been this way since we started the first nudist online group on
Compuserve back in the 80's. I suspect it has nothing to do with the
subject matter but people's limited attention span in today's web
world. There is always another new site to check out and join. I
think this is true whether you are talking about nudist groups, or dog
lovers, or tennis buff groups.
