Hi all,

These groups are really really quiet.  Let's get some conversations going on here.  What's everyone been up to with their nudist activites of late?

I've been to the Free Beaches Australia AGM at Balkaz recently, as well as the Brisbane Friendly Bares group meet in Bethania.  The weather wasn't so good because it was pouring with rain, but some of the guests still braved it to use the pool and spa nonetheless.

The FBA day is at Alexandria Bay in Noosa and Tyagarah Beach in Byron this Sunday, so I'm going to the former and hopefully with a couple of friends in tow who are interested in checking out a nudist beach for the first time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Best wishes,

Dario Western

Been too cold here in Oregon. Rain started again today, so summer skinny-dipping season may be over, unless we get a late-month reprieve.

Hello, Malcolm a 62 year old ' serious nudist' in
Brisbane,Queensland,Australia is doing well. Iam also known in nudist
groups as " m2flowsun ". I support nudity ciompliance and naturist or
nudist club/national association card carrying membership only my
opinion. There is a strong case for moderated naturist/nudist
newsgroups. I'm a member of aus.culture.naturist in Google Groups and
although aus.culture.naturist isn't moderated it is managable. In
rec.nude it is a frre for all and while I don't blame the original "
founders " of rec.nude it has become a frre for all. I was once abused
in rec.nude for complaining about OT - off topic , advertising. Keep
up the good work moderators.

Tag22 has checked the board. Wasn't able to visit Free Beaches
Australia AGM at Balkaz or Brisbane Friendly Bares group meet in
Bethania. Continue the good work.
Thanks: tag22 also known as m2flowsun.

Hi Malcolm,

Thanks for your response. I am beginning to believe that it is the enforced
nudity in clubs which is causing them to lose potential members compared to
the likes of clothing optional clubs or events like Confest. The reason
being is that naturism is essentially about the individual's right to choose
to be nude or not, and to push it on them when they don't want be nude just
detracts them from the venue (especially newcomers). In essence, nudity
compliance substitutes one form of oppression and tyranny for another - and
for someone who has been into the naturist scene as long as you have I am
surprised that you haven't been able to realise this.

Finally, moderated groups have got their advantages and disadvantages. For
one thing, some group moderators and owners are quite lazy when it comes to
approving memberships or messages that eventually they expire and the
members and posters don't get a chance to be heard. A group where the
moderator is more vigilant prospers a lot better. Care must be taken that a
group does not get so tightly moderated that the owner doesn't allow free
speech or free thought (like bushnud does). If other members cannot get a
word in edgeways they'll just stick to lurking and not bother to contribute.

I'm sorry to see you got abused on trainwreck.nude, but that group is full
of malcontents and anal retentives who will pull you up for the most minor
things. It should be noted that it has *always* been a free-for-all group
because it is owned by Usenet, not Google (same goes with
aus.culture.naturist too). At least with this group people are a bit more
open and sensible.

Have a good one now! :)
