Subject: I'm a Christian Catholic...
It's just disgusting to me what happens these days on R.E. classes. My
nudist friend's son who is a teenager was told by a priest, who runs
religious education at our local school, that nudity or naturism
equals sin. In facts there was a whole discussion about morality of
such actions and how God condemns those who are not properly clothed.
You see I come from a rather conservative country but I think a priest
trying to convert children against their parents' will is too much.
And priests do have the authority to do that. Since the class my
friend's son don't want to even hear about outings to nude beaches. He
suddenly became extremely self conscious about his nakedness and there
is just no convincing him otherwise. This entire situation reminds me
of ancient times of Faraons where the priests used their knowledge and
authority to manipulate masses. How do you overcome that? Do you also
have problems with church being too powerful in your countries?

They don't.  It is stupid and ignorant for anybody regardless of whether
they are priests, police, politicians etc. to condemn and vilify anything
that they have no personal experience with.  Why should I have to respect
them?

The only way to overcome it is to publicly vilify and shame these Satanic
authoritarians masquerading as people of God.  Shaming and condemning
nakedness plays into Satan's hands and gives him, not God, what he wants.
If I were you I'd get your son out of that school and give him a state
sponsored education where he is free to choose his own religious or
spiritual values and not that of organised religion.

Best wishes,

Dario Western

I'm not Christian, I actually follow Wicca, but I'm very familiar with
the Bible--more familiar than most Christians, I've found.  I don't
believe that in the canonical gospels, or even the gnostic ones, Jesus
says even one word about nudity.  Paul does, but Paul isn't Jesus.
Therefore, what justification does ANY priest or minister preaching
the Christian faith have in telling a person how she or he can be
dressed?
