Travelites' 2009 Oktoberfest was funtastic as the weather remained
very pleasant for the day as we revisited with old friends and met
some new ones in South Carolina's upstate. Lots of good food and great
people. We dined on bratwursts with onions and green peppers, Bavarian
sauerkraut, dinner rolls, lots of desserts and snacks. The beers and
wines numbered more than 15.

The hot tub was well used. The Wii game system was definitely
challenging. Several played pool during the event. We thank Lynn for
the hospitality shown the club and look forward to returning to his
abode whenever we are invited. Photos can be seen at the club members'

The next event is Founder's Day celebration on October 17th. We'll be
meeting at our property for snacks and hot tubbing at about 4pm. About
6, we'll head to Casa Linda, less than 10 miles from the hot tub.
Afterwards, we'll return to Hopkins to enjoy birthday cake and more
hot tubbing. There is no event fee for this event. I do need to know
the number of restaurant attendees so the restaurant can be alerted.
If you don't want to join us at the restaurant and would rather stay
at the house, that would be good as well.

October 24th a nudist friend from NJ will be visiting prior to his
surgery a couple of days later. Come on out and enjoy the day/evening.
There is no event fee for this event.

November 14 will be Travelites' annual Thanksgiving feast with a deep
fried turkey. We have purchased an infrared deep fryer so we do not
have to deal with the oil and its expense each time. We definitely
need to know how many will be attending and what you'll be bringing to
compliment the bird no later than November 2nd.

Several members are sporting their new name medallions. The cost is
$10 and includes chains. Let us know if you would like one especially
since we have quite a few new members. They are lightweight plastic
and have the club's logo and your name. It takes less than 2 weeks to
receive them, and we have to order in batches no
fewer than 5.

December 5 - Winter Holiday Party
December 26 - Last hot tub party of 2009.
December 31 - possible *New Years Party
