to socialcalc
Hi list,

I just played around with socialcalc for some time, and loaded a 'big'
table into it (280 rows, 22 columns).
There is one unsolvable (perhaps I just didn't find the feature)
problem now: I didn't find out how to make one particular row
(containing my table headings) 'persistently shown', so that I can
scroll down to, let's say row 200, but still see which column I'm in.
The same would be helpful for horizontal scrolling...

Is there something I overlooked? Otherwise - could this feature be
added? Otherwise socialcalc is quite useless for big tables ;)

Cheers,
Patrick.

Patrick,

You did not overlook it. That feature is missing (not implemented) in the current version. It is, though, pretty surely going to be in a future version, sooner rather than later (i.e., the coding has already started and that feature is committed). More when I have more to show.

Thanks for mentioning it -- you are confirming that it was worth the trouble of adding the capability. Any other details about what you need in scrolling? Is about 250 rows and 25 columns about your limit in what you need?
