I am deeply sorry to hear the sad demise of Shri Bhiaron Singh Sekhawat -
formar VICE PRESIDENT of India and former CHANCELLOR of Punjab University, Chandigarh.
He was a great statesman who served the country with great dedication and
had made many contributions for the benefit of the society. It is a great
loss to the country as a whole and his family in particular.
During part of my tenure as VICE CHANCELLOR of PANJAB UNIVERSITY, he was the chancellor of the university and guided me for the development of the
university without any interference either from him or his secretariat.
I send my heartfelt condolences to Mrs Sekhawat and his family.
