In this season of "giving," Chicken & Egg Pictures and Working Films are bringing together a movie with the individuals who help inspire movements and acts of justice on a daily basis -- TEACHERS!
How to use this film in the classroom? How to link your classroom to classrooms and schools in Kenya in a personal and dynamic way. How to inspire small and big acts of volunteerism and social activism from your students and your schools and your students' parents  and use those acts to build a world of global citizens... this is what this movie on this evening in this most auspicious times of the year is all about:

Engaging people in tackling social and economic challenges around the world and in our own communities can come down to ONE SMALL ACT multiplied.

A SMALL ACT is the film that brings all these themes together and is proving to be INSPIRING in the classroom. Geared towards teachers looking to educate about Africa, social activism and the benefits of global education. On this very special STORY LEADS TO ACTION we will bring together an audience of teachers and activists, the filmmaker and a panel made up of key NYC-based educators to understand the values of this film in the classroom and beyond.

Join Panelists:
David Gerwin, Professor at Queens College
Rachel Peterson, Director of Community Service at Friends Seminary
Reginald Bassey, Associate at Nigerian Leadership Initiative, Project Manager at Flaunt Africa, Manager at International Youth Council

Filmmakers Jennifer Arnold and Patti Lee will be in attendance!

* STORY LEADS TO ACTION is a monthly series featuring Chicken & Egg/Working Films' filmmakers coming together with strategic advocates and educators to brainstorm and "design" on-the-spot community/audience engagement strategies for their films.
