Continuing our commitment to champion courageous individuals on both side of the lens, we present two special screenings of detained director's Crimson Gold.
Beginning with a hold up on a Tehran jewelery store that ends in tragedy, the film backtracks to detail the events that led an ordinary, decent man to crime. Scripted by Abbas Kiarostami and based on a true story, the film guides us round Tehran to build a moving portrait of a man feeling humiliated and helpless in a world of social injustice.
