LAND RECORDS GO ONLINE -

Good Governance Innitiative

Goa became the first State in the Country to commission an online updation and integrated land records system (OUILRS).

The new system would help in the effective and efficient management of land records and in providing useful data for planning and development activities.

Land conversions would reflect on the survey plan aa well as in Form I & XIV and also the system would facilitate online land acquisition.

OUILRS will also help online update of survey plans of land acquired by the government and instant mutation by Mamlatdars as per Rule 9 of the new mutation rules.

Meanwhile the Department of Settlement and Land Records has launched a digital crop survey which had not been carried out for last 16 years.

Around 200 talathis ( village revenue officials) have been trained to conduct digital surveys through Netbook PC.

Earlier the data use to be collected manually but now with the new system the process will include collecting information about area under crop, type of crop, dry land, wet land, etc.
