We're meeting tonight, Wednesday, 7:00pm @ Smart-Soft.
There is another Android event going on in Irvine tonight as well.
It was announced on this list and you can find the details here:
http://www.meetup.com/OCAndroid/events/32870382/
I've chosen not to attend. I don't want Amazon rummaging through my
private information any more than I want Google doing the same.
As an aside:
With respect to "Google Developer Steeve Yegge went on a rant
and 'accidentally" shared. There seems to be a significant
point that has been conspicuously overlooked. We all know that
Google is populated with folks who can calculate the entire launch
and interplanetary trajectory for a Mars landing in their head.
Tying their own shoelaces is not part of the interview, and
apparently neither is navigating the privacy settings on Google+.
Sooooo, if an Ultra-smart Elitist Google'r can't do it then what
hope do mere mortals have? Or maybe, at least the upper
management, already know that privacy is not their strong suite: http://www.businessinsider.com/google-plus-management-2011-09
Personally I think all the EULA and privacy agreements are
circuitously worded "Adhesion Contracts" (http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Adhesion+Contract).
Google's greatest "gift" to humanity is the wholesale violation of
our privacy under the guise of "Do No Evil."
If you're coming to our Hack Night Please RSVP.

*****
Stop by and learn about Android and bring your Android problems.
PLEASE BRING YOUR LAPTOP. We can help you best this way, and if
you've not yet setup an Android development environment we can help
you with that and get you started with your first application.
Pizza:
We serve pizza at our meetings -- the nutrition of hackers world
wide, and the only time I get to eat pizza. I can't tell you where
we're going to get it from. I've grown a little weary of stopping
to pick up the Pizza on the way so we might just use our phones to
order something online. We'll try to remember the little pepper
packets.
Please RSVP so I know how much pizza to bring or order. If you
indicate you're going to attend then please show up.
