What other sport can you get paid for flinging down a 5 1/2 ounce
projectile at your opponent's body? If you are batsman it could be at
your head or at your toes.

Shoaib Aktar, the Rawalpindi express.

When I'm umpiring I get to wear a shirt and tie. Most cricket these
days is played in coloured clothing. It's the first class game that
wears the whites.
Though, league cricket in northern cricket union is played in whites.

6 hours for 4 or 5 days in the baking sun, what else would you wear?
In the olden days 1920ish. Test matches were timeless, the game was
played until somebody won, there was no provision for a drawn match.
Games could last for over a week. You wouldn't be too white after
that, and neither would your clothes.

It had crossed my mind actually.
My good Indian friend explained to me why Indians don't play much
rugby, but prefer cricket. It's a social/religious quirk. You might
have to contact a person who you shouldn't. Crazy!!

The whites were bad, but not as bad as the Injuns.
And the Injuns were doing all of that to other Injun tribes long

That is your culture that you are trying to preserve - Ulzana's Raid.

but we didn't kill children and women, we took them to be our own,
