includes transgendered and transsexual employees. Staten Island Live
is one of several sites reporting that a judge ordered the New York
State Thruway Authority to pay a trans-woman more than $55,000 in

The thing I have found most challenging in my 10 years as a partner is
the lack of support for family and friends of those who are
transitioning. After we met in 2000 I went online and spent hours
reading peoples stories of transition and found it was common place
for partners to walk away not understanding Gender Dysphoria.

Men and women stand differently, and they walk differently. As you
transition to living as a woman full-time (or any other reason), one
of the things you'll be working on is your walk. Unfortunately, many
transsexuals, transgendered, or cross-dressers just try to imitate how
they think a woman should walk, without realizing that women walk a
specific way because of their posture. So they end up looking like
they're imitating a woman's walk.

define it very broadly, to include anyone with a history or a hint
of gender variance. Women who like sports. Men who like to cook.
