A taste shaped by the artistic and literary masterpieces of the
Western civilization is a taste that reflects the creative striving of
the Western civilization.
It is a taste that reflects the synthesis of mind and imagination that
is all true art, a taste that leaves imprint upon the heart and mind
of the person and shapes it into forms that reflect the best that the
Western civilization has produced.
As such it is a valid guide to life, reflecting the best that humanity
has accomplished.
A man who has taste shaped by such literary sensibilities is a man who
sees lyrical, poetic beauty in women. He is not a man who is seeking
to score, he is a man who is seeking to share beautiful romantic
experience. He is man who is seeking to allow women to unfold into
their inner beauty and do what it naturally and legitimately seeks to
do - be appreciated and adored. And, as such, to be rewarded for
having been cultivated.
He is the one to validate the inner work of personal self-refinement
that the civilization's most artistic minds have achieved, guided by
masterpieces of thought and imagination that are Renaissance art and
romantic literature.
Some believe art to be fantasy and seek to make it inapplicable to
real life. Under the calculus that the person wants to grow out of the
age at which the art was transmitted, they attack the person for
harboring such sensibilities in adulthood as infantile or narcissistic
when doing so in fact reflects integrity - integrity of failing to
forget. With this calculus, the context engineer believes he can rob
people of integrity to the literary and artistic legacy of the Western
civilization and turn them into machines.
To solve that problem, I have resolved consciously to live art and
validate inner art as it is contained within other people and give it
a way to thrive.
The man is the craftsman who shapes the reality of life of himself and
the world around him according to his beliefs. The man is the artist.
That is his natural prerogative. "Realism" without seeing and
validating this capacity in human being is an incomplete and
degenerate view of reality, a view that ignores the best thing that
there is in reality - the human spirit as its creative agent.
This kind of "realism" is incapable of building a Sistine Chapel. This
kind of "realism" is failure to rise to the challenge of human
beingness. This kind of "realism" is abdication of man's role as
creator, as shaper, of the reality of the world he lives in and of
himself. This kind of "realism" - indeed any ideology that fails to
take into account the creative human mind, the human spirit, the
Prometheus motive, the creative genius of humanity - is a lie and a
barbarity, resulting in an oppressed and devitalized population that
can only go down into a miserable existence.
The civilization sees nature as tools and raw resources. In the same
way, reality itself has to be seen as tools and raw resources from
which the artist should shape human creations reflecting the language
of human soul, allowing for production of ever-more-beautiful
creations and their contribution to building a beautiful world.
The man who does such a thing is a complete human being.
He is the redeemer of art and literature and one to make it possible
that the romantic thought and great art, all a result of the effort of
genius of mind and soul, be guides to and structurers of human
experience and human thought.
