Following the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to Al Gore in 2007 and now
Barack Obama, I propose that it should be renamed the "I'm not George W.
Bush Prize".

How about "I'm not George Bush and I was elected President"?

This really does remind those of us on this side of the pond what a
pariah nation the US has become, and is (one hopes) digging its way out
of being.

Much as I admire Obama, it strikes me as odd that someone can be awarded a
Nobel prize not primarily for anything he's achieved, but for what he might
go on to achieve. What conflicts has Obama helped to resolve?

right now he has taken away the missile shield in Europe
and changed it to something less offensive to Russia. which
was potentially a huge conflict that could have escalated to
much worse.

watching/listening to the news on a regular basis like
i used to.
