Phrases (long!)

The current thread about phrases prompted me to repost this revised version of
what I originally called, "Whispers." My apologies to those of you who get
bored with reposts. For those of you who missed it the first time, I hope you
enjoy it.

My parents were not very bashful about using the word, "spank." They weren't
bashful about saying it, and they sure weren't bashful about doing it! Mom, in
particular, would spank any one of us at the drop of a hat or, more
realistically, at the drop of a panty! When we were in the house or the car,
or anywhere that was just family, Mom and Dad had no trouble in saying in a
clear and audible voice such embarrassing things as...

"Pamela was spanked this afternoon."
"Your daughter has been asking to have her bottom spanked all day!"
"If you keep that up young lady, I am going to spank you, is that clear?"
"Pamela is going to get herself a spanking."
"If I have to take you upstairs, little lady, you'll be undressed and spanked."
"Are you telling me that you don't have any homework again tonight? I hope
that you remember that your father gave you a spanking for your last report
card, and if you don't want him to spank you again for your next one, I suggest
you find something to study *every* night."
"You two tell your father why I spanked you this afternoon."
"If you think you are too big to be spanked, little lady, I will prove you
wrong!"
"Don't make me stop this car, ladies, or I'll spank both of you right here
along the road."
etc., etc., etc.

They were quite casual about it all, though it was anything but casual for me!
It really didn't matter to them if my brother or sisters were around, or even
my grandparents. I can still hear her saying things to my grandmother like,
"Pam is so quiet this afternoon because I had to give her a good spanking
before we left the house, didn't I Pamela?" Or something like, "Pamela is
pouting like this, Mother, because we had a little session with the hairbrush
this morning." And Grandma would know that we had improved my behavior, not my
hair! Grandma would make 'tsk, tsk, tsk' noises, and I would just shrivel up.

Mom's other favorite words included 'bottom,' all of the various names for
underpants, and the word 'bare.' She was so casual about it - she could talk
about my bottom as easily as she could mention my elbow...
"Pam fell off her bike and scraped her elbow. Pam, honey - show it to your dad
and let him see if it needs cleaned more."
or
"Miss Pamela was riding her bike clear down past the McGuffey place, so I
spanked her bare bottom. I think she'll be staying closer to the house from
now on!" Thank goodness she didn't continue with, "Pam, honey, show it to your
dad and let him see if it needs..."!!!!

Bottom. Spank. Bare. Panties. Underpants. Spanking. All horrible words
for a young girl to hear being spoken out loud, but oh, so much worse when used
together. How I would shrivel (and start behaving!) when hearing phrases
like......

"What you need, little lady, is a bare bottomed spanking, and I'm just the one
to give it to you."
"I've already spanked your sister's bare bottom today, and if you want to be
next, just keep it up."
"Now get up to your room, little miss, you are going to be spanked."
"You're just an inch away from being spanked, Pamela Joan, so don't push it."
"Just one more word, missy, just one more word, and I'll take down your panties
and spank your bare bottom, do you understand me?"
"I had to spank Pamela's bare bottom for her this afternoon."
"I don't care if Cindy gets a spanking or not. I am not Cindy's mother. But I
am *your* mother, and *you* are going to take your underpants down and get your
little bottom spanked."
"I don't care if you are thirteen years old, Miss Pamela, you are going to be
spanked."
"If you ever use that tone of voice with me again, you will get a good
spanking... with your panties taken down and with my hairbrush, young lady."
"There is nothing wrong with you that a bare bottomed spanking won't fix, now
go to your room and wait for me. And if you slam that door, Pamela, I will
bring my hairbrush."
"You can cry and carry on all you want, Pamela Joan, but as soon as I get you
home I am going to spank your bottom, do you hear me?"
"You are already going to be spanked, young lady, do you want to make it
worse?"
"If you think you are too old to have your underwear pulled down for a
spanking, little miss, I will show you to you how wrong you are!"
"If you keep pushing it, young lady, you'll be going to the swim meet with a
spanked bottom."

Sometimes Tammy or Jennifer would be in trouble and be sent to their room. I'd
try to go upstairs to tease them a little (or maybe sympathize!) and mom or dad
would say something to me like, "You just stay here, Pam. Little Miss Tamara
is going to get her bottom spanked, and she doesn't need you hanging around."
Heaven knows how many times the rest of the family heard the pronouncement of
my doom while I was sitting in my room and wondering! Another of mom's
favorites - "I have just given Jennifer a spanking, and I don't want you
teasing her, or I will spank you, too. Do you understand me?"

And once the spanking was certain and imminent....horrible statements!
"Now take down your underpants." <long pause> "Further."
"Who do you think washed and ironed that dress for you to throw it on the
floor? You hang it up this instant, young lady. I am sick and tired of you
scattering your clothes on the floor."
"Now lets get this overwith. Take off your skirt."
"If you won't take them down, I'll take them down for you."
"Move your hands."
"Do you want me to go and get my hairbrush?"
"And if I ever have to spank you for this again little lady, it will be even
longer and harder."

But, when we were out and about in public and I was misbehaving, mom and dad
would get really quiet. They would lean way over so that they could whisper in
my ear....sooo close that they could have bitten my ear off like that boxing
guy. Then the would whisper to nobody else but me, encouraging me to
behave....
"If you don't settle down right now little lady, I will take you home and I
will spank you."
"Are you going to behave Pamela, or am I going to have to spank?"
"If you keep this up little girl, I will take you to the car and give you a
spanking. Do you understand me?"
"One more word out of you, and I'll take you into the rest room and spank your
bottom. Is that clear?"
In church on Sunday morning: "If I have to take you out of this service, I'll
take you downstairs, spank your bare bottom, and bring you right back in here."
"You have just been asking for a spanking, Pamela Joan, and if you don't change
your attitude I'll give you one right here."

Mom was better at this than dad was, but then, dad could make a face that said
everything without even saying a word. But mom, she would just hiss, and she
had such a menacing (and terrifying!) tone, but oh so quietly she would
whisper. Sometimes she wouldn't even use the word 'spank.' she would just drop
a little hint to warn me...
"If I have to take you home, we're going straight upstairs, young lady. Do you
understand?"
"Are you going to settle down by yourself, or am I going to have to settle you
down?"
"If we have to go home, Pamela, I promise you that I'll get my hairbrush out!"
"Stamp that foot once more, Pamela, and you will not sit down for a week."
"Just keep this up, little lady, and I'll make you a very sorry girl."
"You better watch your temper, Pamela, or I'll take your pants down and turn
you over my knee right here."

Sometimes she was so blunt, but so dumb...
"Do you want me to give you a spanking, Pamela?" Gee...I don't think so, mom,
sounds like a dumb idea to me!
"You're just begging to be spanked, aren't you little lady?" Gee, mom, no!
I'm begging for some of this candy here!
"Do you want me to spank you right here in front of all these people?" Gee,
mom, I don't think so. That's kinda personal, doncha think? Although, if you
do spank me in front of all these people, mom, I'll have some friends in the
future who will want to hear all about it!

So now, when I see a mom or a dad all bent over and speaking quietly into a
little ear, I have to wonder if the little ear is hearing the same sorts of
things. For all I know, the mom is asking the little brat if she wants a
Hershey Bar with or without almonds, but I do wonder what words of wisdom are
passing. Then I think of all the other moms and dads who watched my mom lean
over and whisper into the ear of the little girl who was preparing to throw a
tantrum, and I think of the knowing glances that they exchanged as they watched
my hand wander instinctively and protectively across my rear, and my halo and
wings appear!

Ah, Pamela, Saint Pamela! What a wonderful tonic to ingest upon my
return from a few days away.

And those catchy little phrases work on grown up girls too! 'Cept they
appreciate it a lot more!
