I have been with my present fiancée for three months, with sex only "three"
times (that is, all night long for three consecutive nights [not bragging,
just telling the story]) because of the major distance between us at the
moment (I am looking for a job where she is.) She's late. Way late.
Anybody have this happen? Reason why I ask, she and her ex-husband were
also together ten years with *no* protection and nothing happening on the
baby front. This is just too weird.

The couple had been trying to conceive for eight years, and
although we didn't swap partners, he made love to his wife,
and I with my girlfriend while the two women held hands,
it was highly arousing, and went on for a long time.
Their fertility physician said that the intense excitement
almost certainly spurred his sperm on, (he had a low sperm
count) to greater effect and determination.

Fertility can be a relative matter, with one pair of people being infertile
with respect to each other but quite likely to conceive should they have
unprotected PIV sex with others.
Then again, stuff happens. I have a friend who says of himself, "I've
had unprotected sex three times in my life, and I have two children."
