Hello folks,

I'm a 55-year old man, happily married, though my wife has suffered a
loss of libido, which can be frustrating to me.

Sometimes I can go for awhile without thinking about sex too much, but
other times, like today, I can't think about anything else. So hard to
think about what I need to do at work, because I'm mentally stripping
every female in the place! My damn libido!

You sound perfectly normal to me.

It might be frustrating to her, too. You need to make a point to sit
with her at a non-sexual situation - breakfast or dinner, perhaps, and
tell her how you're feeling. You might find that she misses it, too.

Or not.

In any case, you do need to communicate this to her so that she's aware
of how you are doing, and that you're aware of how she's doing.

Well, yes, we do talk about it. It's a physical thing, she just has
lower libido since she went through menopause. When we do manage to do
it (when we have plenty of time), it's great. And we do enjoying just
snuggling and being close.
