1970s, when they discovered that women actually had orgasms, a number of
men were pressuring their partners to see if indeed, they (the women)
were coming. This led to a lot of women feeling pressured to *have*
orgasms, which ended up being a libido killer.
The situation is repeating itself as more men are trying to make their
partners "squirt" like the porn stars. Apparently, it's no longer enough
to quietly enjoy a good time; now you need to loudly - and wetly - show
your enthusiasm.
In another 10 or 20 years, I'm expecting a backlash as women begin to
"admit" that, yes, they've been faking it for the last generation.
